How to Choose your Supply Chain Management Consulting Firm

Case studies and white papers demonstrate a level of thought leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise within a consulting firm. When choosing a supply chain consulting firm, you want assurances that a firm has completed similar projects for similar businesses in your industry or related industries. These case studies and white papers provide a glimpse of how a firm solves problems and if they have the required experience in your industry. Additionally, if the firm you are looking to hire has a variety of case studies on Supply Chain Management, you can assume that they have several different clients for whom they were able to develop a similar strategy and execute a similar type of project.

Choosing to bring in an outside firm to assist your company in streamlining, upgrading, or improving your Supply Chain is a critical decision. The typical goal of a Supply Chain project is improving ROI through one of the following:

  1. · Increased revenue

  2. · Reduced lead times

  3. · Decrease in costs

  4. · Improved customer service

It will show you beyond the self-aggrandizing statements by the firms marketing team that they truly are “the best” or “the supply chain experts.”
